Steubenville, Ohio is in Southeastern Ohio located on the banks of the Ohio River approximately 40 minutes away from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  Steubenville is also the hometown to quite a few celebrities such as Dean Martin, Rollie Fingers, Jimmy "The Greek" Syder, Sylvia Crawley and many more.

Steubenville is also home to Franciscan University of Steubenville, as well as Jefferson County Community College.

Steubenville has a reputation of political corruption. Steubenville police earned the distinction of being only the 2nd city in the United States to sign a consent decree with the federal goverment.  Over a period of about 20 years, the city lost or settled 48 civil rights suits involving its police force.  In those cases, which often involved minorities, the city paid out more than $800,000 -- $400,000 between 1990 and 1996.
